Newer, more modern ones, can link to a computer system that can track the totals of each beverage that is dispensed. Bottles and cans are easy and readily available. The only down side is they are mass produced and do not have the same natural flavor as those produced in casks. Most of the beers on tap are stored in a metal barrel. The acids produced by the ale could affect the coating inside the container and radically alter the taste of the drink.
